Being an Artist

Being an Artist
 for me
Is being passionate about what I’m creating

Here in the bay area I have found it filled with some inspiring, competitive, rewarding and challenging artist. And so being an artist for me means to be an active member of an art community. The Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Society SCVWS is a great fit for me.
The SCVWS is having its first juried show of the year. NoLimits – Freedom to Create. This is the show I’m painting the 3-D self portraits for.

Here is Beauty in process

And here is Beast

While working on the 3-D self portraits, I found a new freedom to follow my intuition. It just flowed and moved back and forth and all around like a dance. I had so much fun.

The other great thing about the SCVWS is that we have an active and talented group of very fine plein air artists. This is Brad one of SCVWS’s fearless leaders.

And this is his sweet little piece.
We were at Montalvo Arts Center what an estate.
